Golfing - The Wanaka golf course, one of the most scenic nine holes in the South Island is only a few minutes’ drive away.
Skiing and snowboarding - Wanaka Haven is approximately 45 minutes drive from four ski areas: Treble Cone, Cardrona, Snow Park and Snow Farm. On the Queenstown side, you will find Coronet Peak and the Remarkables ski fields.
Fishing – Brown trout, rainbow trout and salmon can all be found in the local waters. Get lucky with shoreline fishing or improve the odds of a good catch by taking a boat to the best spots.
Boating - You can jet boat to see Mt Aspiring and her glaciers or take a lake cruise to the Mou Waho Island Nature reserve in the middle of Lake Wanaka, a fantastic way to discover the area’s flora and bird life.
Puzzling world - Regularly voted one of New Zealand’s best family attractions, people come far afield to experience the eccentric maze or Illusions room.
Scenic flights –Trips to Mt Cook, Mt Aspiring or Milford Sound offer a feast for the eyes. You can even ask for a glacier landing.
